Magna Corporation was important in that it was one of the largest employers in Mississippi in the 1960's and 1970's through its two subsidiaries (1) Mississippi Steel which was the state's first steel mill and (2) Magna American as it manufactured garden tillers for Sears that were sold worldwide and also manufactured the Amphicat, an important forerunner to today's all terrain vehicles. The primary reason I made this entry was to connect otherwise orphaned stubs.
