Many, many Problems
[edit]This article has been tagged for more than two years with a NPOV tag, and nothing has been done to correct it. This reads WAY too much like a recruiting brochure, and needs to be reworded more neutrally.
Further, this needs sources. This is virtually unsourced, even to the college's own promotional materials. A quick search on Google and Google News shows me that there is significant secondary sources on the college. These need to be used and added in appropriate spots.
Third, the article contain excessive plagiarism - much of it consists of material lifted directly from the college's website with de mimimis rewording, without either quote marks or attribution. That is a major problem and unacceptable. Fladrif (talk) 17:58, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
- I'm in partial agreement, I'll take a look around and try to remove the plagiarism. Yorkshiremany (talk) 23:23, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

Rebranding Updates Needed
[edit]Hi all!
The College went through a rebrand in August 2021, which changed its name and logo. The new logo is available at https://www.meca.edu/.
Addressing some of the concerns that too much of the information is coming directly from the College, here are some additional recent articles to consider:
- Portland Press Herald: In latest pivot, Salt Institute adds a focus on podcasting, November 7, 2021
- Newsradio Station WGAN: Eggs & Issues | Dr. Laura Freid, November 7, 2021
- Bangor Daily News: Tribal leaders tell story of push for sovereignty in new Maine-made podcast, December 7, 2021
- Portland Press Herald / Hechinger Report: Facing an existential crisis, some colleges do something increasingly rare: Adapt, January 2, 2022
Hope this helps! Apologies if I'm not flagging this correctly!

Logo is out of date
[edit]hey folks, I'm new to this editing thing so I don't know how to add images, but the logo was updated along with the name around two years ago and it's out of date on here. If someone could fix that, that'd be great. Here's a link to their announcement and the new logo. Tyrninne (talk) 00:28, 13 July 2023 (UTC)
