Blinky11 has objected to my replacing "is a German entrepreneur who serves as CEO of Fielmann AG" with "is a German businessman, who is the CEO of Fielmann AG". To avoid edit warring, I am taking this to the talkpage. Firstly "entrepreneur" hardly seems appropriate for someone who inherited the company his father founded; and "businessman" seems a more accurate and neutral term. Secondly "serves as" whilst widely used by companies themselves is not the most neutral or shortest formulation, which is why I am suggesting the simple "is" instead. Using "serves as" may be appropriate for military or public sector posts, but is not the most neutral wording for company CEOs, especially one where the family owns 71% of the company. Does anyone object to my proposed wording? Edwardx (talk) 22:56, 22 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I prefer your wording. Philafrenzy (talk) 19:48, 23 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I think both is reasonable. For arguments sake you could add that he founded further companies but since your wording is shorter, it should be fine. klausschneider131 (talk) 21:09, 29 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Update request

[edit]

Hello, I would like to suggest the following photo of Marc Fielmann as an addition to the article:

As I'm occupied at Fielmann AG, would someone update the article on my behalf?

Thank you in advance. --VitraOcularia (talk) 14:50, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
