"Move" to Beaufort

[edit]

In 1993, MACS-2 did not move. MACS-5 was in Beaufort. The members of MACS-5 were simply told that they were now MACS-2 (and MACS-5 no longer existed). I don't know of anyone from Hawaii MACS-2 transferring to Beaufort during this transition. Instead, there was an abnormally high number of people transferring in from Cherry Point. My "going away" K-Bar reflects this with the engraving "MACS-52 TDSM". -- kainaw 03:50, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
