[edit]Re: Gangs and Crime
Please view what Wikipedia is not. I agree that there is a lot of crime, but original research is not allowed. As for the latest edit about the woman being mobbed, it has been copied verbatim from the news report, and thus violates copyright. Moreover, I think if you want to write about crime at the school, find a news article about on-going problems rather than focusing on one (well, two, unfortunately, for the victim) dramatic incident. --Xen0phile
Re:Re: Gangs and Crime
Thank you very much for keeping an eye on this page and making sure it is an appropriate image of the school. As a Mariner High School Student, I was mortified and deeply saddened by the recent attack and wish that people would remember that only a small percentage of the student body where involved in this incident. Mariner is an overall good school and although there have been problems with violence, I ask people to remember that all schools have their problems and that students at Mariner who do not participate in these unfortunate incidents still have to go to school there and live with the attitudes people have towards the school. Please do not condemn many for the actions of few.
The new changes If anybody regularly looks at this page I'm sure you noticed that I made a lot of changes. When I have the time I'm going to try and build on this article but it'll most likely be slow. I think it's unfortunate that Mariner's page is so short when the other school in the district has a pretty long and detailed page. If anybody has things to add to this page please do!!! Also, I have the worst spelling in the world so if you ever see spelling mistakes it wold be nice if you fixed them. Thanks! Jazzyrhythms 17:21, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- I do (but have a slight conflict-of-interest since I'm a student of the school) and will do minor edits only, for the most part. BTW, it's not "Navigators", it's Navigator. -Jeske (v^_^v) 22:51, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
lol..I am too, I'm a senior, you? And thanks for fixing that...I'm in ICAT and I'm running start so it's rather easy for me to make small mistakes like that.Jazzyrhythms 04:01, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
- Jazzy, allow me to remind you to retain talk page etiquette. This is not the place to discuss school lives but rather a place to discuss improvements to the article. -Jeske (v^_^v) 04:57, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
Please update the info
A lot of the information relating to the topic are outdated, at the bottom where it lists the schools within 4A are not correct. The article is also missing a lot of newer knowledge as i have not seen anything past 2013 posted on it. The link to the "our school" page is broken as well so fixing it would greatly boost the articles' reliability. Thank you!
