Wrong Link?

[edit]

Communications revolution points to John Cena. I'm assuming this is incorrect, and in lack of a 'communications revolutions' page, am removing the link. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.33.120.151 (talk) 15:46, 9 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

How did this important topic end up with such an awful (and too short) article? - 1 April 2009

Wikipedia would be so much further enriched if you guys doubled down and invested time into bolstering antebellum US History articles, such as this one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.229.173.194 (talk) 18:04, 30 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Large section of this article are quotes from individuals. It feels like it lacks a NPOV.

Charles Sellers has to go from this article

[edit]

Calling Sellers a 'leading historian' is a little ridiculous. He is more of a historical commentator than any sort of historian. His progressive and postmodern philosophy leaks into every aspect of his work. He judges the actions of antebellum Americans instead of looking at things in context or simply providing all the facts. A historian provides information not conjecture. He also cannot comprehend free government and free markets coexisting. Plus, his point that capitalism triumphed over democracy doesn't even make sense. Over the next century, there was a variety of democratic reforms that ended in 1921 with women getting the vote. 1921 can also be considered the beginning of the roaring twenties, which was a period of great capitalistic expansion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by GeneralPotato (talkcontribs) 17:24, 31 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
