Submachine gun?
[edit]Can this be classified as a submachine gun? I don't see any reason why not. Amidpesky (talk) 05:04, 12 March 2018 (UTC)
- No, it should not be categorized as such. It is an semi-automatic carbine, not a submachine-gun. The latter is defined, accurately, by Wiktionary as "A type of short range machine gun that is carried as a personal weapon and uses pistol ammunition.". A machine-gun is defined as "A type of firearm that fires bullets in rapid succession by a single action of the trigger." As a semi-auto, the Camp carbines only discharge a single bullet per trigger-pull. Also, under US law, where these were made, they are also not classed as a machine-gun. --Surv1v4l1st ▌Talk|Contribs▌ 22:04, 18 October 2018 (UTC)
