Mars Ocean
[edit]The paper on the web at this address: http://mysite.verizon.net/rickmsmith/MarsOceanProject.html; uses an accurate three-dimensional model of Mars (based on MOLA data) to analyze the "shorelines" reported by Clifford and Parker (2001) and shows that the lines define the perimeters of real basins that could hold water.
Regardless of current arguments pro and con, the basins and their coincident "shorelines" exist and should not be ignored in the ongoing studies of the subject of Mars oceans. 71.110.196.254 (talk) 18:53, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
Oceanus Borealis
[edit]Oceanus Borealis should redirect here or be a disambiguation page for this page and the Arctic Ocean. 65.94.45.160 (talk) 08:27, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
History
[edit]There is no information in this article about the history of the hypothesis, when it began and who its main proponents are. This is essential to the subject. I've done a quick search myself and haven't come up with much, although NASA does outline a brief history in this article - http://astrobiology.nasa.gov/articles/mars-ocean-hypothesis-hits-the-shore/. --EvenGreenerFish (talk) 02:02, 17 January 2012 (UTC)
I read the pertinent references and then I moved the text around for a chronological flow. Any expansion and corrections are welcome. --BatteryIncluded (talk) 21:12, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
