Contains content that is written like an advertisement[edit]

It would be helpful, if the "advertisement" style in this article could be pointed out. As far as I can tell it only refers to one critical quote and sourced facts at this point. --Playnary (talk) 11:19, 12 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The info box about writing style seems to be removed since. --Playnary (talk) 09:52, 08 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion[edit]

I'm sorry for the early post, this article was not finished yet. I will include further infos about the significance of the composers work during the day and would ask you kindly to wait with a deletion until then. Thanks! --Playnary (talk) 12:31, 11 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The article is now in a presentable state. Significance and sources should now be sufficient. Wouldn't assess my own writing style though ;) --Playnary (talk) 17:24, 11 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A major contributor to this article appears to have a close connection with its subject[edit]

The contributor mentioned here seems to be me. I do not know what the OP of the template message used to arrive at this conclusion, but it's possibly because the article was also in the beginning criticized for its style, which has since been taken care of.

To address this template finally, I want to clearly state here: I used to work with Martin Kohlstedt as a cultural manager, hence the familiarity with his work. But I started creating his Wikipedia page after I stopped working regularly with him. We saw that the page was missing and at the same time his international profile became more relevant from a public point of view. Since I had an archive of press material about him, I decided to use that to create a page.

I'd like to update these pages soon (I need to do something with the Google Alerts that still flood my inbox :) ), so I'm asking for someone to check the material here and look into if that template can be removed. I can't really imagine someone researching this material without having an initial connection with an artist. It would be nice to see how Wikipedia handles such a case anyway, since I do have material on more bands and artists I have worked with over the years (and who do have an internationally recognized body of work that would make them relevant for Wikipedia).

I compared this to other artist pages like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nils_Frahm, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryuichi_Sakamoto or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ludovico_Einaudi (because they were the one mentioned as similar artists in the press quote). There is not really a difference in writing style, press quotes or the kind of work considered important enough for an artist page.

I am therefore removing the warning box discussed here. Van-Helsingborg (talk) 15:41, 27 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
