[edit]

Muslim and Civil laws differ for Singapore Residents. Note that children out of wedlock are not recognised here. They are denoted without a fathers' name.

Children born in Singapore are NOT AUTOMATICALLY BORN SINGAPOREANS. The parenthood determines the citizenship.

Singapore now gives out BABY BONUS for Singaporean Children born locally or abroad. Singapore citizenship is acquired by the father and or mother. Mothers who are MALAYSIAN CITIZEN can still apply for their children to be a Singaporean if the father is a Singapore National. The child is not allowed to apply for Malaysian Citizenship under the Malay Federal States law.

[edit]

There is a citation referencing Bare Naked Islam as a source, a web page that often is considered a hate site. I do not know if the information that came with the citation itself is accurate, but there should be a better citation to a more reliable source.
