Talk:Meez

Hello. I appreciate feedback on the Meez page I recently submitted, but need help understanding why it doesn't meet Wikipedia's standards. I've tried to emulate the pages for several other services that are similar to Meez (IMVU, Habbo Hotel for example). I don't see how the Meez content is different -- other than I haven't added visuals yet. Maybe someone can help?
The main problem with this aritcle is that it doesn't pass Wikipedia's notability guidelines for websites (see WP:WEB). Some Google research tells me that it's only been available for a few months. The other sites you mention have been around for longer than that. There also isn't that much objective information available about Meez- most of it is small blog posts or official press releases. There is a Forbes article about it, which may indeed make this site notable enough, as long as the article actually references that article.
Beyond that, it would be best if the article discusses why the site is important, instead of just what it offers. Talking about site features without bringing up why they're important tends to make articles sound more like ads. Hope that helps. --Several Times 19:42, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

Currency
[edit]The only currnecy on Meez is Coinz at the moment, but in 2006, Beans were used as currency. so you mean that there is no meezz —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.40.233.236 (talk) 20:08, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Meez. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20070629215729/http://zdnet.com.com:80/1606-2-6113924.html to http://zdnet.com.com/1606-2-6113924.html
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.
