Michael Gough isn't Michael G.

[edit]

Because there had been several edits in the past that list Michael Gough as the person who voiced Harry Mason in Silent Hill and Richter Belmont in Castlevania, I decided to make this topic so as to try to prevent future edits that make such claims.

For both Silent Hill and Castlevania, a person by the name of Michael G. is credited for the voice overs for Harry Mason and Richter Belmont, respectively. However, the voice acting quality in both titles are amaturish at best. Furthermore, the voices in these games sound nothing like MichaelGough.

Because Micahel is a common name and G. is so broad, the va for these two games can be just about anyone. Futhermore, in a videogame message board, a person who claims to have emailed Mr. Gough, said that the actor denies being Michael G.

Although the message board might not be a reilable source, Gough's resume on his official site makes no mention of voicing Harry Mason and Richter Belmont; going by the assumption that Michael G. is Michael Gough is also not reliable. Although it is true that imdb list Gough as the voice actor of these two characters, the infomation on imbd isn't perfect like wikipedia; anyone can add infomation on imdb.--99.60.7.197 (talk) 17:01, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

True, you need a reliable source to make the additions official.MilkStraw532 (talk) 05:13, 24 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Funny thing is that it turns out that Michael G. (whoever he is) didn't voiced Richter, but Dracula in Castlevania: SOTN despite that Wikipedia said otherwise for such a long time. Seeing as how IMBD no longer states Michael G. As Michael Gough, and the former now has his own separate IMDB page, I guess I can finally edit out the Richter Belmont name after 3 years.

Professional language and sourcing, anyone?

The relation to Reggie Fils Amie needs utter revamping, and a source. It sounds like a fourth grader wrote it to be funny. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.61.98.159 (talk) 05:11, 24 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

all other sources (imdb, fallout wiki, nukapedia. etc.) say william bassett voiced elder lyons in fallout 3, not michael gough

michael gough apparently did some uncredited voices for fallout tactics, but that's all i can find — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.249.133.224 (talk) 14:03, 4 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
