Name[edit]

[I am the subject of this page]. I have tried a few times to move this page to Michael P. Taylor, which is the form of my name that I use in palaeontology. (In civilian life I am plain Mike Taylor; but I never use the middle initial with "Mike".) I am evidently not enough of a Wikipedia wizard to do it. Can someone who knows what they're doing please make this change? Much appreciated! MirkMeister (talk) 00:17, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Should be done now, though I wonder if it should note somewhere that you also write as Mike? FunkMonk (talk) 00:20, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, quick work! Many thanks. Feel free to note that I blog as Mike Taylor if you wish -- I won't do it myself because I avoid editing the page about me. (I know there's a WP:Policy on that, but I can never find it.) MirkMeister (talk) 00:23, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Mike. Actually I do not think that applies to people, more to companies. And anyways, Octávio Mateus (User:Omateus) actually created his own page, so I think you can to just fine. IJReid discuss 14:15, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
See, rule 7 notes "If you have a personal or financial interest in the subject of any article you choose to edit [meaning you edit], declare it on the associated discussion page [already done]". IJReid discuss 14:22, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Interesting, thanks! 80.229.143.26 (talk) 14:25, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, since there are free images of you on SVPOW, is there any picture in particular that you think could represent you in the article? FunkMonk (talk) 06:05, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
