StainlessSteelDoctor 17:27, 23 July 2007 (UTC)I believe that this article provides its own justification for the notability of Dr. Streicher. He meets at least two of the stated criteria for biographies (awards - Fellow ASM International and having a Standard test named in his honor). My reading of biographies of mathematicians and scientists shows many wikipedia entries that indicate similar accomplishements and also lack citation for full-length biographies, but which are not flagged for possible prompt deletion, but are marked instead as stubs.[reply]

Notability & W. R. Whitney Award[edit]

My opinion is that scientists such as Streicher who have won a major award (the W. R. Whitney from NACE International from a recognized national scientific society should be considered notable. I am therefore deleting the notability query.Easchiff 03:03, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
