[edit]

I have never seen irish themed marketing for Mickey's. I'm kind of unoffended by the idea that someone would buy it merely because of an irish marketing connection. I'm not proud of my irish heritage, but always felt the need to drink Guiness.

  • While I seem to remember seeing the phrase "Fine Irish Malt Liquor" on bottles while drinking underaged (and it doesn't say that, just "Fine Malt Liquor"), Mickey's has had various Irish iconography over the years, including shamrocks & castles, that the bottles are green, and that it's named after Mickey, which seems Irish enough. If anything, it is implicitly marketed as Irish, if not explicitly (castles, shields, shamrocks and more can be found here at this veritable archive of Mickey's bottle designs). Sizes

[edit]

32 oz or 40 oz? This article lists the sizes for Mickey's available as 12, 24 and 40 oz in the first section, then under the popularity section says that it is available in "32oz bottles often mistaken for 40's." Which one is it? did someone edit the latter section and not correct the earlier listing of sizes?Whitoflaven 01:18, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • While this may not be the reason it is listed here, many other wiki-pages give credence to the fact that in various counties forties are not sold due to legal reasons, and in their place 32 oz bottles are available. I can personlly confirm consuming Mickey's in 12 oz. bottles, 24 oz. cans, & 40 oz bottles, but not in 32 oz. Giovnni (talk) 10:04, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Irish feel?

[edit]

Maybe the name Mickeys and the green label give it the Irish feel?
