Is this necessary?[edit]

Is a regional term for an area in the middle of the valley, that is not notable outside the region necessarily deserving of an article? Discuss. Katr67 (talk) 19:46, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's a well known term, as much as any other region of Oregon almost: http://www.mvonline.com/ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.237.91.129 (talk) 01:51, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
First, the article is all WP:OR, yet again. Second, I agree that the term is rarely used and rarely known outside of Corvallis-Albany. Third, Salem? Really? I lived and went to school in Corvallis and only heard it refer to that area (Corvallis, Albany, Lebanon), and currently go to school in Salem and have not heard it used in reference to that area. In fact, until about the 2000 census or so Salem was part of the Portland metro area. This is why original research is not allowed and citations are required. This should be merged into the Willamette Valley article. Aboutmovies (talk) 08:08, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
