According to this it first flew September 23 1934, not October 12. (The MacRobertson Race begain on October 20, so the latter date would have left little time to prepare.) Can anyone confirm either of these dates? Drutt 05:58, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
- I got the 12 October 1934 first flight of the prototype G-ACTM from The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Aircraft Vol 11 Page 2498, the other source I used British Civil Aircraft since 1919 did not give a first flight date just a Certificate of Airworthiness date of 9 October 1934. So you are probably correct, just need somebody to pop in with more sources. MilborneOne 18:01, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
- I note that the waricaero site (ref 2 in the article, newly added and which looks well researched) also gives the date as 1934-10-12. Since neither of these websites quotes sources it's hard to resolve; perhaps JAWA 1935 would help, or contemporary volumes of Flight etc.TSRL (talk) 11:58, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
