The name

[edit]

The name "Minimally invasive" doesn't seem specific enough. How about Minimally invasive medical procedure?

I prefer the new title suggestion; it's more specific, and isn't an adjective, like the current one. Joyous 23:36, Jan 20, 2005 (UTC)
I think the word "surgical" should be replaced with "medical" in the current name. You can find both non-invasive and invasive procedures which are not surgeries. --Pozytyv (talk) 20:52, 24 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

split into 2 articles/collaboration

[edit]

should the article be split,?--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 23:35, 24 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

don't really see the need for much input on non-invasive methods etc - they are all pretty much self-evident...thermometer?...taking the pulse?? The only real references needed are those of radio surgery and stereotactic surgery and here there is ambiguity on the pages - radiosurgery page states it is non-invasive (as do all other refs around) and stereotactic surgery page describes it as minimally invasive....also it might be possible to merge those pages as most refs are to stereotactic radio surgery. Still a fair bit to do on this page. Cannot see much (if any) benefit in extra page of non-invasive methods - ought to be enough to mention them on this page with main article hatnotes - they are also mentioned on the surgery page. cheers ----Iztwoz (talk) 07:24, 25 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Invasive surgery

[edit]

Though very informative in some ways, this article is very messy in encyclopedia structure. Invasive surgery is the entire group, in which open and closed/minimal-invasive surgery are two distinct categories. About both could be written a long article. Furthermore, open surgery is forwarded to cardiac surgery. Though this is the most commonly known open surgery procedure, it certainly is not the only one. Can someone help untangle this situation? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Frisie (talkcontribs) 10:43, 6 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
