Further Improvements[edit]

There are a fair few original sources in the Dykema and Fatheree articles that are worth checking for completeness. According to a nice lady from the Mississippi Department of Archives and History, the fate of the site was decided after several meetings, presumably around 1993 when the City of Jackson took ownership. She says it was deemed too costly to maintain and I will try to obtain meeting minutes or similar if they have been published. Thanks also to User:Bobrayner for the pics - I may contact the bloggers to see if I can get them to upload a pic to Wikimedia Commons. --Davoloid (talk) 10:24, 25 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Bear in mind that photos taken by federal government employees (ie. USACE) are, generally speaking, not copyrightable in the usual sense - they could go straight to Commons and this could be easier than getting the necessary permission &c from a third party. Probably a lot more interesting photos out there in federal government archives - I'm not sure how best to find them, though. bobrayner (talk) 10:53, 25 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
