Effectiveness of INA[edit]

Every historian I'm acquainted with who has an opinion on the subject disparages the effectiveness of the INA, pointing out that the men recruited into it faced the alternative of brutal treatment in a POW camp and most deserted back to the British at the first opportunity. For example, Max Hastings has discussed this in his book, Retribution. 97.123.121.16 (talk) 01:31, 22 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Allow me to direct you to Hugh Toye's book published in 1959 and Peter Fay's book in 1993 for a start.rueben_lys (talk · contribs) 11:40, 1 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

For some reason, Mohan Singh shows up in the 1909 Births as beginning with the letter "D". I have no idea how to change this.Jtyroler (talk) 15:41, 6 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of INA Jubilation image[edit]

Hi, I deleted the INA jubilation image for two reasons. First there is already an image of Fujiwara and Mohan Singh, which I feel is more than adequate in depicting the significance that Mohan Singh holds in the INA story. Secondly, the image itself is pretty big, unsightly in the paragraph and does little to add to the article. It is also likely a staged photograph, as there is no record when where and how this image was taken. I am not aware of any joint INA-IJA operations or battles that ended in a victory or captured in photo. I hope that clarifies why I deleted the image.rueben_lys (talk · contribs) 10:39, 1 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the clarification! --Mlewan (talk) 11:34, 1 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

General Mohan Singh[edit]

Regarding the recent move to "General Mohan Singh", see WP:TITLESINTITLES. We don't use military ranks in article titles. Dāsānudāsa (talk) 14:20, 10 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
