Please note that PRIOR to the RE-DEDICATION of the Morgan's Raid monument in July of 2013, the ORIGINAL dedication took place in 1963 with the grandson of Ethelbert Sharp (owner of the farmland where the monument is placed) present, William McKinley Sharp. In the 1950's Mr. Wm. Sharp published a series of articles in The Cleveland Plain Dealer about the battle and events which occurred on our family property. Much of his information regarding the events of that day came first hand from verbal and written accounts from his grandfather and his father, John Moody Sharp, who only 8 years old when the invasion occurred. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.100.132.255 (talk)
