Two articles, Organic food and Organic agriculture both contain large sections that list arguments for and against buying and growing organic food. To remove the large redundancy, I've created this new article. Hopefully this article can successfully combine text from both pages, so that we may shrink the size of the two source articles to be just summaries of what is contained here.

Oh, and a page like this is not without precedent, see for example Category:Comparisons, Category:Controversies, Category:Criticisms, or Category:Debates. (This article could perhaps be a comparison of conventional and organic agriculture.) JabberWok 01:51, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't disagree, but I think this article would need a name change (not sure what would work) if it were to include both sides (the title is "Motivations..." and it could give a false sense of weight towards one side of the arguement. Merging would help shorten the main organic farming article to a more managable length, and remove a fork at the same time. Radagast83 04:13, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merge, smerge

[edit]

Over at Talk:Organic food#Motivations for organic agriculture there is a discussion which affects this article. I have suggested a merge, but all comments are welcome over at the organic food talkpage. bobrayner (talk) 00:01, 22 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

done. this article was really terrible -- mostly unsourced essay and what was not, was duplicative.Jytdog (talk) 03:13, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
