The article mentions a ship called Sturgess, but I could not find a record of any ship by that name. I could find information about the ship USS General S. D. Sturgis, which article states, "men carried by the Sturgis would be among the few who would witness the Japanese surrender ceremonies aboard Missouri". Do we have a misspelling here?
