Western Nung language (Tai)

[edit]

The reason this article should not be named Western Nung is because that only William Gedney has used that name for one of the lesser-used dialects that is spoken in the western peripheries of the Nung-speaking area in northern Vietnam. Furthermore, there is no reason why 850,000 speakers of the language should all be "Western." There is nothing "Western" about the relative location of these Tai peoples in northern Vietnam - they're actually "Southern" relative to their counterparts in China. — Stevey7788 (talk) 05:12, 3 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
