why that comma?

[edit]

ripple, of water? Is the comma in the first sentence necessary? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.204.80.232 (talk) 04:37, 14 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, I would like to see some followup or cleanup on this as there are no other locations in-article that refer to it as such. Ampersandestet (talk) 08:05, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I just removed the comma. Ok, (comma) here's the deal. I created this article, as one of the first of the 45 I've created (hieroglyphs). (It took months to put photos IN WIKICOMMONS, as the foundation for doing hieroglyph articles, though I started immediately with 10 first-type baby articles, not knowing what I was doing, or where I was going.
My take on this is this: ...the first: 1— Were "ripples", only referenceing "N", or the "preposition". I do not know; that would be the INVISIBLE subsection: Evolution history of the "ripple" (hieroglyph). There is no way of completely surmising that only water is being referenced, but with the Nile River, boats, and drinking water, and crop-growing H20, its probably a good assumption....
Even if Water is assumed (I assume it is), ...the Ripple, the motion may have more to do with the Origin of the ripple, of water (hieroglyph)... The implication is:.... are the Origins of both Parts, the Ripple, and the Water of equal Importance?... You are quibbling about a style of an article, literally 5000+ years after the origin of the hieroglyph, and.... if you are not going to suggest the importance of its actual, Evolution, and original inception, Then you're doing this article a disservice.(is the Ripple,(comma) more important, (comma) or the Water....?) And thus why as the author of the article, I am forced to point out some 5000 year-old questions I have.(HERE in this Talk REPLY) I only started putting photos into commons categories. It is up to a Planet Full of humans to discern the lineage of this very nice hieroglyph.
one late form is the /------------\ (straight line with angles on ends). This Article is only a beginning. What is important, is that this is a phonogram, letter N, and a preposition besides, ....But don't forget, that a vertical FORM was required, (This is only the HORIZONTAL (n), or (preposition)..(the Vertical N, prepostion, came later)...
