Spelling of Eugene Rhodes
[edit]The spelling of the last name does appear in some sources as Rhoads, but not definitive sources. It seems unlikely that his named would be misspelled on the medal and there would be no comment anywhere, as this thing started out as a Congressinal Gold Medal. But it is certainly possible with all the variations out there. In the statute that awarded the medal, Public Law 70-714 (45 Stat. 1158) his name is spelled Rhodes. Until somone can come up with a better source than that, I think it should remain Rhodes.--Nyctc7 (talk) 23:46, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
