History[edit]

Maharaja's Dream Retreat Palace[edit]

It was the dream of the Maharajah to have this Palacial Home made for him and his family to spend their holidays here. More research has to be done if any record survives of the Royal Family of Indore about their time spent here and important guests who stayed here during the time of Princely State of Indore under British Raj.

Circumstances of Handover of this Palace to State Government of Madhya Pradesh after Independence of India and dissolution of Princely States[edit]

Little research has been done as to the circumstances that compelled the Maharajah to handover the possession of this Palace to the State Government of Madhya Pradesh of the newly Independent India.

Tenure under "Namarda (River) Valley Development Authority (NVDA)"[edit]

More research has to done as to how the State Government of Madhya Pradesh used this building after taking over its possession and when did it transfer its possession to Narmada River Valley Development Project and how the building has been used since and how it has been maintained since and how much is spent annually on its upkeep and why it is in a state of general disrepair and slowly going to ruins. How the State Government and Narmada Valley Development Authority have allocated and used the funds set aside by the Government for this Palacial Building's proper maintenance, repair, renovation and general upkeep. What are the highlights of events that occurred here since it came in the possession of the NVDA.
