I skipped the doubt-template from 2009, as this refers to a genuine hypothesis by Georges Dumézil. The disputed second part 'close relative of the water' seems to me bare nonse, as the root *nepos- is not attested in the relevant Dictionaries, so I skipped it. Visible editorial comment in article

The article currently contains the sentence "This is wrong and the link between this site is a Victorian invention." Aside from having poor grammar, the sentence seems inappropriate, but I'm not sure whether to remove it - is it a valid complaint? Can someone fix this, please? Thanks.
