The Network of Disclosure is attempting something groundbreaking in the world of Comic Book collecting and that in and of itself generates much discussion in the comic industry. What NOD is attempting to do is ensure full disclosure, of restoration, by all members of the collecting/dealer community. By doing so NOD has shed light on a number of issues facing collectors of all forms of comics, which in some cases, if not disclosed end up costing buyers and even savvy sellers, thousands of dollars on a single transaction. The group is founded by industry experts including Overstreet Advisors and restoration professionals. 72.175.117.19 (talk) 18:55, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The aims of the organisation may be laudable but at the moment the article does not assert the notability of the org per WP:N, nor does it have any reliable sources per WP:RS and WP:V. Also, please sign your messages on talk pages by adding 4 tildes (~) at the end. – ukexpat (talk) 17:28, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Network of Disclosure is an organization of distinction for several key reasons:

  • It is the ONLY comicbook collecting educational and consumer watchdog organization in the world.
  • NOD has a global membership.
  • Nod has filed for not-for-profit status in the State of California -- finalization anticipated shortly.
  • NOD has been the object of controversy in the comic collecting hobby due to the organization's strong stand against the non-disclosure practices of some of the hobby's most prominent dealers and grading organization (CGC, Certified Guarantee Company)

  • The NOD is an important source of market-moving information about collectible comic books. It provides information that is not available anywhere else on the Web71.131.195.251 (talk) 18:30, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

All fine statements -- add the assertions of notability to the article with appropriate reliable sources for verification and the article will survive deletion. – ukexpat (talk) 20:19, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

All of the statements and assertions of notability have been added to the article. Also, the scoop article, as a reliable source has been included as well. Question: are you looking for reliable sources for each point of notability (i.e. global membership, not-for-profit status, etc.)? If so, is it enough to say these statements come from a current NOD board member?Snitzer (talk) 20:37, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
