[edit]I removed this:
This company's slogan, especially in the 1980s, was "We're the one for you, New England."
because that's the wrong New England Telephone - that's the one which became NYNEX, not this one. - DavidWBrooks (9 December 2005)
- On an old New England Telephone phonebook for the Woonsocket, Rhode Island area, the logo listed was "We're the one for you, New England." This slogan was used, especially in the 1980s. I don't know about whether it was used prior, such as the 1960s, but I do know that up until New England Telephone became NYNEX, the slogan used was "We're the one for you, New England." Thus, I think that the slogan should be mentioned because it was a part of New England Telephone's history. -Daniel Blanchette 22:15, 31 January 2006 (UTC)
- Read the article again: this is New England Telegraph and Telegraph ... It lasted just a year, from 1878 to 1879, and had no direct relationship to the later New England Telephone ... You're talking about a whole different company, New England Telephone. - DavidWBrooks 00:07, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
