Karl Valentin and The night of the Amazons 1938
[edit]It may be of interest that bavarian humorist Karl Valentin commented on the event in his peculiar way in a documentary film titled “Munich 1938". Realized by bavarian director Ulrich Kayser the film presents Valentin in a short scene where he is asking a warden how much an 'Amazon' would earn for her appearance per night. When he is told that the salary would be 2 Marks he thoughtfully replies “Two Marks for a whole year ... that means you’ll have to divide up well.”
