Merger proposal

I propose that Night VFR be merged into Visual flight rules. This topic could easily be covered as a section of the larger article, and will sit in context there; at present, to understand "VFR" readers need to visit the main article anyway. Rusty Springs (talk) 06:31, 14 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree with this. In the EASA Member States, NVFR is a special rating, so it is right that the VFR and NVFR articles are separate. Nareto 18:07, 15 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Another option is to put in it's own section inside the VFR article — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.203.1.81 (talk) 19:28, 19 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose Like Finnusertop, I agree that these are different rules altogether and should be kept as such. As an aside, I would ask that the last paragraph be reworded for clarification as it leaves ambiguous whether the countries listed are exceptions because they do allow NightVFR or because they do not. I would gladly do it myself but I'm not familiar enough with aviation regulations to make the call. FP2C (talk) 16:08, 10 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose as VFR is a set of rules governing flight, NVFR is a licence rating which permits flight in certain conditions. Having said that, if the article remains separate, I'll make corrections as the bit about all commercial pilots require is incorrect, and the last para is confusing. --Drpixie (talk) 02:29, 14 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
