which are studio and which live?

[edit]

If known, it would be helpful to indicate. I know the 1954 EMI Callas/Serafin and the 1964 Decca Sutherland/Bonynge are both studio, but don't know about the others. Milkunderwood (talk) 09:32, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Good idea. I shall add your info to the page. Also 1955 Callas / del Monaco / Serafin is live (see below) as is 1974 Caballe / Vickers / Patane John M Brear (talk) 19:22, 14 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

1955 Callas / Serafin

[edit]

The listed source and my CD give 'Orchestra Sinfonica e Coro di Roma della Radiotelevisione Italiana' not Milan. I have made this edit.

It must be live, there is an enthusiastic audience! Rome RAI 29-6-1955

My CD is an alternative to that listed - Frequenz cat 051-014 in the 'Europa Musica' series John M Brear (talk) 18:09, 14 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

1937 Cigna / Gui

[edit]

The listed source and my CDs give 'Coro e orchestra dell'EIAR di Torino' - not Teatro Regio which burned down the year before and was not rebuilt until 1973(?). I have made this edit.

My CDs are Lyrica LRC 01091 and Frequenz 043-025 in the series 'Le Grandi Opere Liriche' — Preceding unsigned comment added by John M Brear (talkcontribs) 22:41, 14 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

1985 Norma with Kiri Te Kanawa

[edit]

To my knowledge there isn't a recording of Norma with Te Kanawa and von Karajan conducting, 1985 or otherwise. It would certainly have been interesting. Is this a hoax made on purpose? Kari J Hermunen (talk) 08:35, 4 February 2020 (UTC)Kari[reply]
