Past Tense
[edit]The USS North Carolina is still in existence. The page for the ship gives it in the present tense. Thus, a ship in the class still exists, and it should be present tense. --Tickery (talk) 17:38, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
- I think it's in the past tense because it's mostly a design history, and the class articles on the South Dakotas and Iowas are the same. But I'm not too worried either way. Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 22:33, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
- @Tickery and The ed17: This isn't the first time the issue of tense has been brought up on ship pages. Perhaps the issue would be discussed at WT:SHIPS? - wolf 01:04, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
- Sure. Thewolfchild, I've opened a discussion at WT:SHIPS#Past vs. present tense in ship class articles with an extant member. Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 16:43, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
