[edit]folly seems to be a type of novelty arch just as mimetic is. folly also seems to be a more common/popular term in the uk and commonwealth countries, but novelty is still an all encompassing universal english language term that is probably more suitable for a thorough article and accompanying categories. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.162.166.107 (talk • contribs)
- Oppose - These are two different building types. The "traditional"folly is a new structure built to look like a rustic castle or ruins. This might be considered a subset of novelty architecture. Keep as separate articles. See also: Category:Novelty architecture and Category:Folly buildings —Dogears (talk · contribs) 16:55, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose - I agree with Dogears, the folly is most certainly a distinct architectural type and it should keep its own article. Madmedea 20:49, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
Dinosuar themed architecture in Florida
[edit]I have a picture of a decapitated brontosaurus statue along Hernando County Road 476 west of Istachatta, Florida, but there are at least two other pieces of dinosaur related architecture in Hernando County, Florida, most notably Harold's Garage in Spring Hill, Florida on U.S. Route 19 in Florida. If nobody get's a pictue of that, I should. ----DanTD (talk) 02:42, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

Statue of Liberty
[edit]The second paragraph describes the Statue of Liberty as "a replica building." But what is it a replica of? PurpleChez (talk) 21:06, 19 January 2018 (UTC)
