Edit reversion

[edit]

@Wikizard1991:Please explain why you reverted my edit which was extensive, removed a large number of cases of MOS:REPEATLINK, and addressed the use of Ireland WP:IRE-IRL. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 06:28, 3 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

There being no explanation after a week (despite the editor having contributed to other pages on 7 June 2018), I undid the reversion. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 10:11, 11 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

T.M.I. (I feel)

[edit]

cc @ViperSnake151:

I honestly don't know how I should handle this article. I feel it's overly detailed with certain information, but where should I start?

There are some things I believe should be done, though:

  • Portions about Now Broadband could be moved to Sky Broadband
  • Details about German and Austrian services (operated as Sky Ticket) is a must-add
  • Sky España could be merged into this article: The Spanish service is, from what I observed, essentially a rebadged version of Now TV
    • No, Sky Switzerland should not be merged into this article: The Swiss service was built around a completely different technology which Sky Deutschland obtained from its Hollystar acquisition
  • I can't find a single mention about a trademark dispute between Sky and PCCW over the 'Now TV' name
  • In accordance with Wikipedia:NOTDIRECTORY, as well as Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of channels on Sky and other similar discussions, the list of TV channels available on the service does not belong here, and should be removed from article (← the work that I may start soon)

Any other suggestion? JSH-alive/talk/cont/mail 16:11, 24 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Merge - Sky España shouldn't really be a page I think since it is, in essence, a rebadged version of Now TV. And, now I'm here, I should mention there was a High Court judgement about a disagreement between Sky and PCCW - I was going to add it to the article but I think that mention might have been deleted? --Tvcameraop (talk) 20:07, 8 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@JSH-alive: - I have made changes to the article to make it better structured and detailed without going overboard as it used to be. I have also added a section with some information about the PCCW dispute. The only thing I am now knowledgable enough about to add is the content provided to the German/Austrian/Italian versions. The article definitely feels much more like a proper wiki page now. --Tfibra (talk) 19:29, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
