[edit]

All external links checked ok and there are no disamb links needing attention.

  1. In the bibliography section Ashurst is not used as a reference
  1. Reference 20 and 27 Dunning both need clarification and the year added to the correct publication
  1. Reference 14 Brown 94 but no Brown in the bibliography
  1. Consistency of referencing. ref 27 Dunning, p63-65. should be pp.63-65.
  1. Rigold, p.10. Pettifer, p.223 Rigold, p.6. Rigold, p.7 Emery, pp.604-5 Gomme and Maguire, p.15 and Gomme and Maguire, p.1 are used a number of times which need consolidating by using refname
  1. The isbn for Dunning, Robert.(1995) Somerset Castles. Tiverton, UK: Somerset Books needs checking
  1. Wedgwood, C. V. and Pevsner, Nikolaus need ISBNS added
  • I don't have ISBNs for these, so have added OCLC links. The OCLC catalogue hasn't got ISBNs for them either, probably because of their age (but I'm no ISBN expert!).Hchc2009 (talk) 17:07, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  1. The cite web template should be used for external links
  • I think these web citations are compliant with the MOS, which also notes that the use of citation templates is neither encouraged nor discouraged. Happy to be corrected though, as I'm no MOS expert either! Hchc2009 (talk) 17:07, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have added years for Dunning Refs 20 & 27 (item 2) and updated the isbn for "Somerset Castles" (item 6) - It was correct as written in the hard copy I have but I've linked to the 13 digit format to enable electronic links.— Rod talk 12:50, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Many thanks for the review - I think all the changes are now made, bar the first one (I think the reference is used), and the web template issue (I'm not sure that it needs changing, but naturally very happy to discuss). Hchc2009 (talk) 17:07, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

On hold

[edit]

I've put the article on hold for seven days to allow folks to address the issues I've brought up. Feel free to contact me on my talk page, or here with any concerns, and let me know one of those places when the issues have been addressed. If I may suggest that you strike out, check mark, or otherwise mark the items I've detailed, that will make it possible for me to see what's been addressed, and you can keep track of what's been done and what still needs to be worked on. Passed GA, as a side note if you use the cite book template the OCLC links to an external site and that finds the book. Jim Sweeney (talk) 08:11, 9 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
