Filming location

This is a beautiful song. I first saw the video when I was a teenager. It has a special emotional meaning for me, even more now that I read the bittersweet story behind it. As I watch to the video I cannot stop guessing where it was filmed. Could it be some place in Cornwall, maybe Ireland or Scotland?

Where has the info about Freddie Mercury's intended involvement in the song come from? No sources, and written in something of an un-encyclopaedic style.
