Note[edit]

Hello- first time I've added an article. Trying to start documenting the history of a company I founded in a permanent and shareable venue- this is intended to be edited, added to and improved apon over the next little while.

Thanks - Ian Gadsby, founder of Onestop

The article has to show that the company is notable by Wikipedia's criteria (see WP:N and WP:CORP). Please also see WP:CONFLICT, since you are associated with the company. ... discospinster talk 15:08, 9 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion[edit]

This page is a historical archive of the company's history and is not used for self promotion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.45.207.161 (talk) 17:33, 9 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That's not the issue: it looks like self promotion, precisely because it's a historical archive with not a single third-party reference used as a source. Wikipedia is not here to tell the world how the company wishes to be seen by the world, it is here to tell how the world at large currently regards the company, as attested by third-party references. The make-or-break inclusion criterion in Wikipedia is notability, whose simplest definition is that it's the measurement of whether such sources exist at all. My suggestion is that you write a first draft entirely based on information you pick from third-party sources. If a tidbit of information can't be found in such sources, you omit it, no matter how important you feel it is. That will allow you to solidly establish the company's notability, and from that point on you can add information from the company itself, as long as you don't do any appraisal of the company's performance or the quality of its products. -- Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 17:46, 9 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, the company does have many mentions in Media- lastest this friday in Globe and Mail (Canadian National Paper) http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/industry-news/marketing/adhocracy/curious-about-ads-in-the-loo-its-mutual/article2393357/ My thought was that adding press clippings made it MORE promotional. Thanks for the help on this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Igadsby (talkcontribs) 20:02, 9 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Potential copyright violation template[edit]

As Onestop Media Group is now set to redirect to Pattison Outdoor Advertising, the concern expressed in the potential copyright violation template has been eliminated - correct? PKT(alk) 14:54, 22 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
