[edit]so is it based upon true story? can we read the true story? 109.67.204.198 (talk) 11:15, 9 May 2012 (UTC)
- It is not actually based on a true event. Subcelestial (talk) 23:09, 26 March 2013 (UTC)
- There are however real events like it mentioned in this book: http://www.amazon.de/Yachtunf%C3%A4lle-Und-wie-vermeiden-kann/dp/3892253668 81.225.216.159 (talk) 00:20, 27 April 2013 (UTC)
what truly happen to them after that or does any one know what happen to them — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.141.34.186 (talk) 19:59, 27 April 2014 (UTC)
After watching the movie, I felt that Dan deliberately stabbed Zach. This was evidenced by Dan's guilt. He said "Jesus Christ, I killed him" several times. Also, it was clear that Dan had, I'll say, psychological problems that were never dealt with prior to this traumatic experience. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stevensew5 (talk • contribs) 15:27, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
- It's a long time (12 years) since I saw the film, but I seem to remember that Dan, who was pretending to be rich and successful to impress his college buddies, confesses that the boat isn't really his - he "borrowed" it off his boss for the weekend without telling him. That is why he freaks out when his friend starts sticking his knife in the side.Paulturtle (talk) 23:21, 29 August 2018 (UTC)
