The initial article shamelessly copies from other wikipedia articles on each topic. (Hope this is OK) Rewriting, high level integration and a few images would be helpful. Extremely human-centric article despite claiming this is about other organisms too.
[edit]Somehow you say in your lead that this article is about vision in humans and other organisms yet the entire article is human-centric. Wow people, wow.
