Suggestion: splitting this page up?
[edit]While I applaud the work that has gone into this page, might I suggest that its content be split up once complete? Each state has a coat of arms page of its own, and they are almost all in serious need of attention. The information about the national coat of arms could possibly be integrated into the Coat of arms of Germany page. Currently I am working on a similar overhaul of the German flag page. Keep up the good work. - 52 Pickup 14:56, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
- Support - this makes obvious sense. Turn this into something like 'List of coats of arms of Germany' and link to each page. I'm buried nose-deep in Canadian articles right now, but I may be able to help. [ roux ] [x] 19:56, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Support - Roux has a good suggestion, List of coats of arms of Germany then have links to each of the states, etc. Right now the article is too long as is. --Banime (talk) 01:47, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
- Support - It definitely needs to be split up between the relevant pages (since they all exist, and many of them are too short anyway). I'm more than willing to help do this, I've been working on the flag pages of German States anyway. It could do with some cleaning/standardisinng with all those tables as well, for example by using the infoboxes (most of which are used on the pages already, but not on this one). Rewrite
[edit](Points relevant to this page may be posted at this page.) This page has now been changed slightly, with relevant material to Coat of arms of Germany being moved there and this page moved to reflect that. However, the true potential of this page is still not being realised. See the link above for input. - Jarry1250 (t, c) 16:38, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
Baden-Württemberg (from 1954-present)
[edit]Coat of arms of Baden-Württemberg (from 1954 or ?? years later - present) : as you see, 7 Wappen (coats of arms), one center, 2 bigger (Baden and Württemberg) on top next to 4 smaller ones.
- Coat of arms of Hohenstaufen NONONO, Staufer!
The Staufer (formerly sometimes called Hohenstaufen) was a Swabian noble family that in (the) 12th and 13 Century brought forth several Swabian dukes and Roman-German kings and emperors.
(??) Coat of arms of the Elector Palatine, one shield used in full arms (NO, not yet!)
- * Coat of arms of WurzburgNO!, one shield used in full arms (Franken!)
- * Coat of arms of Hohenzollern, one shield used in full arms
- ** Coat of arms of Baden, predecessor state of the Weimar Period and before; one shield used in full arms
- ** Coat of arms of the Kingdom of Württemberg, historical state, same comments as for "Baden"!
- * Coat of arms of the Electorate of the Palatinate, one shield used in full arms
- * Coat of arms of Austria (lesser), one shield used in full arms

- I do not understand what point you're making.
- Are you saying the word Hohenstaufen is wrong, or that the Staufers did not use the arms here attributed to them? Or both?
- What do you mean by "NO, not yet!"?
- I see no comment about Baden, so what is your "same" comment about Württemberg?
