This is mentioned in American WWII Prisoner-of-War Account on the Death Railway, Burma

[edit]

It is called folia orshosiphorns in the P.O.W. account, or "cat's mustache," on the Death Railway, and was found in the Burmese jungle by Dr. Hekking, who used it to treat urinary infections among the sick American, British, Australian, and Dutch prisoners. aristatus vs. stamineus

[edit]

There are 2 separate articles for Orthosiphon aristatus and O. stamineus, and each of them says the 2 names are synonymous (as does the article on the genus Orthosiphon). So either the 2 names refer to separate taxa, or the two articles need to be merged under a single one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 160.111.254.17 (talk) 12:27, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Flora of China synonymizes both names under Clerodendranthus spicatus (Thunb.) C.Y. Wu ex H.W. Li — Preceding unsigned comment added by 160.111.254.17 (talk) 12:34, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
