Proposed talukas
[edit]I noticed that at least Lakshmeshwara, Vadagera and Kalagi (as Kalgi) were included in the list, from the list of proposed new talukas. See Talk:Taluks of Karnataka#43 new talukas. Does anyone else think that it is premature to list the proposed new talukas? --Bejnar (talk) 06:16, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
Is there need for additional reference
[edit]Is there any need for additional reference , because the whole article is an outline for pointing to other Wikipedia articles regarding Karnataka and some sections are referenced where it was needed. KAS(talk) 12:06, 21 September 2013 (UTC)
- The policy applies to all articles on Wkipedia, including lists. Practically speaking, since outlines comprise a navigation system leading to WP articles, they reflect the referencing already in place at those articles. The Transhumanist 02:34, 6 September 2016 (UTC)
Quick explanation of Wikipedia outlines
[edit]"Outline" is short for "hierarchical outline". There are two types of outlines: sentence outlines (like those you made in school to plan a paper), and topic outlines (like the topical synopses that professors hand out at the beginning of a college course). Outlines on Wikipedia are primarily topic outlines that serve 2 main purposes: they provide taxonomical classification of subjects showing what topics belong to a subject and how they are related to each other (via their placement in the tree structure), and as subject-based tables of contents linked to topics in the encyclopedia. The hierarchy is maintained through the use of heading levels and indented bullets. See Wikipedia:Outlines for a more in-depth explanation. The Transhumanist 23:56, 8 August 2015 (UTC)
