The previous edit was removed a lot of very important historical and architectural information regarding the town and its history. All of this info came from the sources/references shown at the bottom of the article. Grammatical corrections and additional information with sources are welcome, but significant edits and cuts such as those done on Feb 8 by Attilios considerably weakened the article's substance. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.9.163.105 (talk) 16:35, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Article needs some work

[edit]

This article probably needs some work. I have removed some of the information which is not usually included in a Wiki article. Probably needs more External Links rather than seeding contact details for the Mayor into the article.

Will do some more clean-up but feedback would be appreciated.

Details are not irrelevant

[edit]

The modifications by Attilios were not required or proper. Translating place names into English isn't correct form. For example the name of the Confraternity "San Carlo Borromeo" should not be corrected to "Saint Charles Borromeo". While that might be the saint's name translated into English it is not the name of the organization. Also, terms such as Palazzo are not directly translated as "Palace", therefore it is not appropriate to remove the Italian.

Removing whole sections such as the Family History portion and deeming them "irrelevant" is not an appropriate use of Wikipedia. This section is of great interest to those familiar with this topic. If the detail of these sections is not of interest to a reader they can skip that section.

I suggest that next time Attilios should place his objections in the Talk section before removing items en masse. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.9.163.234 (talk) 13:11, 27 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
