History need lot correction[edit]

Don't forget the Buddhists![edit]

The article acknowledges the association of Paithan with both Hindus and Jains, but one of the earliest if not the earliest mentions of the town is in the Buddhist text Parayanavagga (approx. 300 BCE), where the location is clearly identified.
