Need an article on Palmer High School Chris 23:48, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

There is no yuppification in Palmer. YUPPIE is an acronym for Young Urban Profesional. There are no young urban professionals in Palmer (in fact, there are virtually none in Western MA.) It is a working-class town with a smattering of middle-class refugees from Springfield who have moved to the rural areas of the town. Downtown Palmer is a beat-up shell of a town with little to offer save for a CVS.

Palmer was named the winner of the "armpit of Western Mass." award on a local radio show. And for good reason.

hi- as a liflong resident of palmer, massachusetts, i'd like to point out that the village of thorndike does not have its own fire station as the article claims.
