It Cannot Be installed on x64

[edit]

See this image that I captured. 68.185.166.207 (talk) 22:59, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It is listed as 32-bit only, they are working on it though since it is beta. Dominator Matrix 23:04, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Isn't this precisely why Windows x64 bits has a 32-bit compatibility mode? 68.185.166.207 (talk) 23:50, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes but thats weak at best. Dominator Matrix 00:36, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This information is extremely outdated. Panda Cloud Antivirus is Windows 7 x64 compatible since its Beta3 version in mid 2009 (http://blog.cloudantivirus.com/2009/08/27/beta3-preview-windows-7-64bit-support/). In addition it has been certified by both Microsoft and ICSA under Windows 7 x32 and x64 (http://blog.cloudantivirus.com/2010/01/14/windows-7-certification/ and http://blog.cloudantivirus.com/2010/03/16/icsalabs-certifies-cloud-antivirus/) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.198.2.62 (talk) 00:05, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

SCANNING YOUR FILES ON A SERVER???

[edit]

This is a security and privacy nightmare! Who agreed to have copies of all of their files shipped out to someone else's computer?

This sounds so malicious, I can't believe it's legal to give this to people without a huge warning.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.254.66.146 (talk) 2011-01-13T17:31:37

The comment above is completely incorrect. Panda Cloud Antivirus does not send files for scanning. Read the documentation and educate yourself before posting and spreading FUD. http://news.softpedia.com/news/The-Insides-of-Panda-Cloud-Antivirus-111793.shtml and http://research.pandasecurity.com/arguments-against-cloud-based-antivirus/.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.198.2.62 (talk)

Different name?!

[edit]

It's now called Panda Antivirus after installation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.38.23.124 (talk) 19:31, 28 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

They changed its name. http://www.pandasecurity.com/mediacenter/panda-security/panda-cloud-antivirus-free-now-panda-free-antivirus/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 132.210.231.170 (talk) 18:12, 28 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Security issue missing

[edit]

I am surprised that this big issue back then was never ever mentioned on the wiki page: https://news.thewindowsclub.com/panda-antivirus-update-likely-brick-windows-systems-restart-74490/

I remember it too well since my files were deleted as well and I had to reinstall my OS.

Users conflict

[edit]

Hi, @User:Ridwan97, @User:Jaredscribe, @User:JBW! I've seen that you have contributions in antivirus software topic. I have conflict with @User:Adoring nanny. Adoring nanny has reverted all my changes Avast Antivirus, MacKeeper, Panda Cloud Antivirus. Can you help us solve this conflict? I really don't know why this user blame me for CoI. --Maketimus (talk) 07:06, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
