Restoration of 'Places to visit'[edit]

The section 'Places to visit' has been restored. It is stated in the beginning of the article that the place Pandalam is famous as a holy town. So, natuarally the temples, churches and mosques draw attention. This section is needed for that matter. The large number of devotional places gives an explanation to the question 'why it is a holy town'. -- Sreejith Kumar (talk) 11:26, 24 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Famous people[edit]

It is observed that in the "Famous people" section, names of people who are not famous are included. On removal, such names are observed to be inserted again. This is vandalism. Institutions[edit]

Pandalam hosts a lot of educational institutions which includes pre-schools to engineering colleges to medical colleges to arts/science colleges to ayurvedic colleges. That's not all. The place hosts 20+ hospitals and 30+ temples/churches/mosques. What is the point in listing them in the article? Or what is the point in listing just one among them (for eg, a section on colleges alone)? -- Xrie (talk) 06:01, 6 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Graeme Bartlett, a statement There are seven colleges and 23 schools at Pandalam, including N. S. S. College, Pandalam. is already given in the article which mentions the most well-known educational institution and gives an internal reference to it. I am native of the place and I don't think there is a need for a separate section. If you agree, we can keep this at that. -- Xrie (talk) 06:13, 6 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
