PatientsLikeMe input to this page[edit]

Hi there, my name's Paul Wicks and I'm a researcher at PatientsLikeMe (http://www.patientslikeme.com/members/view/59) as well as a Wikipedia editor. To avoid conflicts of interest my input to this article will mostly be fixing typos, adding sources, etc. For anything that I think could be perceived to be contentious I'll post about it on this talk page along with citations, and then other editors without a COI will be able to make edits as necessary. If you have any questions feel free to get in touch at pwicks@patientslikeme.com. Thanks --PaulWicks (talk) 17:36, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of info and reworking article[edit]

General guidelines for Wikipedia are include that all information in Wikipedia ought to come from a published source which is cited and that the sources cited ought not to have been written by the subject of the article. The current version of this article does not really make an attempt to comply with these Wikipedia norms and otherwise seems like an advertisement. I intend to rework it a bit, deleting everything which does not have an appropriate citation and building it back correct. If anyone wishes to add more, please use a citation to the source from which that information was derived and make sure that it was not published by PatientsLikeMe. Please go ahead. Yes, it reads like one big advert. Ben Finn (talk) 19:46, 9 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
